Facebook

Jenny had been chatting with Tom on Facebook for a few weeks. Both shared a love for books, a dislike for pineapple on pizza, and an appreciation for sarcastic humor. Eventually, they decided to meet up at "Books & Brews," a cozy little café that conveniently catered to both their passions. As Jenny walked in, she spotted Tom at a corner table, occupied with a book. With a deep breath and a final prayer that his profile pictures weren't from high school, she approached. Tom looked up, and to her surprise, she felt an immediate familiarity. "Tom?" she asked, eyebrow raised. "Jenny!" he replied, grinning. As they chatted, Jenny couldn't shake the feeling that she'd met him before. Suddenly, she remembered—a strange flash of a memory from high school, on stage during the end-of-year talent show. Tom had been the lead in their senior performance of "Grease," and she played a minor role with only three lines, one of which involved yelling, "Go, Danny!" She burst out laughing. "Oh my God, you're Danny Zuko!" Tom's eyes widened. "And you're Rizzo's sidekick who tripped over the microphone cord!" They both laughed, realizing fate had given them a much-needed plot twist. Turns out, Facebook had transformed an old connection into a new saga. But just in case, Jenny avoided any cords on her way out, content with the knowledge that they both still hated pineapple on pizza.
